Does the computer record the cruise control?
I'd really like to know this.... does anything in the car record the speed and time of the cruise control settings? I know something in the car saves the speed because of the resume function, but what about the time. I ask this in reference to all the tickets that have been up where someone swore they had the cruise set. Well, if you can show up in court with the info from the cruise control and it's time stamped, you can get out of the ticket. But I don't know if the car does this. Corvettes have a so called "black box" that records info, but thats a $50000 car not a $17000 car. So does it? Because it would save a lot of headaches if it did (and create some too).

i seriously doubt that it does something like that. i agree with you it does save speed like when you hit resume. but that sounds like a headache even if it did all that.

lol. read the manuals guys.
whats so hard about pressing the cruise control button on the left.. then when you get to the desired speed, press on the top button to keep it at that speed. pressing on the middle (Cancel) button cancels the cruise control... while pressing on the Del button deccelerates the car. (not recommend for braking, it just basically ease off throttle)
and for those manual transmission guys, make sure your foot isn't on the clutch, even by a little. the thing is sensative. pressing on the clutch, brake, automatically shuts off cruise control.
I never tried it on other gears... (since I've only used it on 5th) but I remember it will only work at a certain speed level (ie: 55mph+) so I'm sure it'll also work on the gears that can do 55 mph (3-5) well, 2nd gear can do 55 mph too but er thats close to redline....
or maybe it only works on 5th. *shrug*
okay so I dont know that much about cruise control too...

Cruise Control will allow you to set it anywhere above 25MPH. I don't recommend setting it at 25, however. The computer doesn't seem to know what to do at 25 and any small sloping dips in the road will cause the engine to slow down and speed up constantly. But if youre going through a school zone with &*!# head cops and you want to make sure you are going 25MPH.. go ahead and set it.

I always set my cruise at around 50km/h in third gear here, so many flipping cops where I live and thats the city limit. I think it will actually disengage if you make a sharp turn as well. I had cruise engaged at 70km/h and I tried to take a sharp turn without touching the breaks or anything and the cruise sontrol shut off.
