Per gallon. I realize that it changes with altitude and stuff, but on average, how much does it weigh? People have told me from 6 to 12 pounds per gallon. I just want to know how much faster I am the closer I get to E. Haha.

1 gallon of gasoline = 6.1 lbs GASOLINE - WEIGHT
That means I fill up on about 61lbs each time I get gas. Whoa! That's a nice chunk of weight.

There are 128 ounces to the gallon. So that would be 8 lbs per gallon. I usually race with about 2 to 3 gallons in the tank. Your washer fluid also weighs 8 lbs per gallon. Just a thought.

I don't think that a fluid ounce of gasoline weighs 1 oz.
