How much does gasoline weigh?
Per gallon. I realize that it changes with altitude and stuff, but on average, how much does it weigh? People have told me from 6 to 12 pounds per gallon. I just want to know how much faster I am the closer I get to E. Haha.

1 gallon of gasoline = 6.1 lbs GASOLINE - WEIGHT
That means I fill up on about 61lbs each time I get gas. Whoa! That's a nice chunk of weight.

any of you guys seen on jackass or cky when the guy wants 1 pound of gas and the other guy gets all pissed off and says gas doesnt come by the pound it comes by the gallon, that was some funny stuff
There are 128 ounces to the gallon. So that would be 8 lbs per gallon. I usually race with about 2 to 3 gallons in the tank. Your washer fluid also weighs 8 lbs per gallon. Just a thought.

I don't think that a fluid ounce of gasoline weighs 1 oz.
