Shift **** doesn't screw on!!! HELP
Hey sup all. I did some searches, but found nothing like this situation. I picked up this shift ****, but if doesn't screw on like the OEM or any other shift **** like the Momo's everyone talks about. How do you go about putting something on like this? Am I out of luck? Or is there just some trick to it? Thanks for everyones help. Oh and the shift **** says it is universal and fits honda's and all that stuff. So I don't know what's a happenen. Well, I guess you're in luck. I just had a similar problem last week and I have figured a solution.
The shift **** that I had was missing the adapter. Heres what you do: go to Home Depot... go to the plumbing section. Look at the rubber hoses that you purchase by the foot. Measure the opening of the shift ****, this is the outer diameter of the hose that you need. The inner diameter for our civics should be 1/2 inch. To install, cut the hose (length) so that it fits in the shift ****. Place inside then screw the **** onto the gear shift. Once all the way down, you will still be able to rotate the ****, but it shouldn't wobble or come off. Use a razor to cut off any excess tubing/hose that remains or petrudes from the bottom.
Now you have to worry about your shift boot sagging.... check the DIY for the shift boot.
I hope this helps.

Well, I wasn't trying to plug Home Depot or anything. Its just that its right down the street and I am familiar with it. Its kinda like when people say xerox these papers when its really photocopy (xerox being a brand name). Keep your sarcasm to yourself! just kidding...
