Shift Boot Question.....

Shift Boot Question.....
As soon as I find this boot (attached photo) in the states (last resort, I will order it from europe), I'm going to order this. It's the Isotta Sport boot, and I'm going to get it with an Isotta Puma ****. Might anyone know if the top of this boot attaches to the ****? Looking at it, it looks like it has an open top that won't attach to the bottom of the ****, but I don't know for sure. If anyone knows, that would help.
Also, How do I get the stock boot out? Do I have to rip apart the entire console to get to it? Or does the silver ring pop out?

thats the link to the shift **** i want to get. for installation do i just unscrew the old one and screw this new one in?
