Injen CAI and Fuel Line Problems....

Well, I was having a problem because the fuel hose was sitting on top of the CAI pipe, So I tried to move it underneath the CAI, it just made it worse. I went from just 1 hose on the pipe to 3 now. What am I doing wrong? I can't move the fuel hose too much, it's not that flexible, and it is full of GAS. So I'm going to put the hose back on top of the CAI, and see if I can some how insulate it from the CAI pipe. The Injen photo shows the hoses on top of the pipe, so I wonder what to do....

Well, after messing around a little, I managed to get the hoses off the pipe. I used a zip tie and one of the bolts from the factory air box to pull one of the fuel hoses below the CAI, and I carefully made the bend in the large fuel hose a little wider, so it sits about 1/4" above the pipe. I'm going to Autozone first thing tomorrow morning (in another car) to get some kind of insulation for this. I don't really car if it looks good, as long as my car doesn't blow up.

so the rubber is insulation? I guess that's a good thing. Maybe I don't have to get anything for it. I'll let it go another week and see if it actually starts to melt or if it just sticks to the intake tube.... which is what it looked like it was doing.

ok you have a cai, so check every thing you have done so far. i think you are loseing slack near the bottom of of the cai. check every bolt going down to the tire you might be loseing some slack.
