Nuespeed springs makes my brakes click?!
Hey everyone..just install neuspeed sport lowering springs. Later that day, i noticed that everytime i start drivin my car( going out) I noticed that i hear a clickin noise when i step on the brakes gently. I also noticed that when i turn the wheel(make a left turn) i can feel something clickin or grindin, but then it would go away after i drive for 10 mins. I also noticed that when i'm going to park in reverse, everytime i touch my brakes, i can hear a little click..does anyone have soluations or advice for me?? I'm going to get my car aline tommrow. thanks..

i have both those noises... the first, its loose calipers or something.. its a defect on our cars, i heard you could fix it by wedging a business card somewhere. the grind noise is the springs rubbing against the bottom perch. you could fix this is greasing the bottom perch or putting a rubber tube aroudn the spring where it lays on the bottom perch. i have both sounds and i just deal with it.
One of my friends fixed that clicking noise by filing down the end of the spring so that it would fit to the countour of the perch. Now I have another noise - it's a creaking groaning noise comming from the driver side wheel. I'm afraid that its a busted strut. I also hear clanks and groans every once in a while. I think my right rear arm might be hitting the exhuast tube when I go over certain bumps.

i think its mainly an installation issue. this doesn't necessarily mean that it was installed wrong tho. like i said i've heard putting some sort of rubber tubing at the bottom or the springs where it sits on the lower perch gets rid of the noise.

I had the clicking noise before I did springs. I think it's got to do with the brake and not the springs... I'm going to get aftermarket pads when the time comes for that, and Brembo rotors when time comes for that. Right now I just live with the clicking. My dealer has it on record, so if it causes an accident, I'll sue their a$$.
phlip...teh coupe does come with teh rubby thing..hey any news on your search with the clickin noise when lowering springs?? Hmm..some dude told me taht you and him are trying to gather info and find out some answers!
I have Neuspeed Sport Springs and Konis installed. I have all sorts of noises. Every week there seems to be a new noise with the noise from last week dissappearing. The streets around here are pretty bad so I'm constantly assuming my struts are blown/leaking. I suppose it's all normal though. The springs aren't exactly the right sizes for the perches and not to mention putting those Konis in the front is some sort of science project. I'd say the only time you have to really worry is when you go over a significant bump and you literally feel/hear your wheel bunce two or three times.
