Yes I am a Newbie...

I had wanted to change my Dashlights since before I found this site (saw another 01 Civic with the Web Address on the side while driving on the Don Valley), but now actually going to try it Thanks to the help of you guys here...

BUT I haven't seen anywhere that says how to change the color of the PRNDD3D2 next to the Automatic Gear Shift... I think I remember seeing that someone had did it in the Members Rides... Can anyone help me with this one???

Newbie ?? Hell, you're not that bad, I don't even have a f#%king clue what a PRNDD3D2 is
Perhaps I should actually read the dashlight DIY's.

PRNDD3D2 = Parking, Reverse, Neutral, Drive3, Drive2

oh yea to remove that piece all you do is follow the DIY on removing head unit...in the DIY section...quite easy

Hey Bozzak, check out Drew's Ride, (actually it's his old ride, he's trading in for an RSX.) He was nice enough to give me all of his neon lights and guages, including the PRND321 piece. I'll post some pics once I find the time to put it in my car. Anyway, what Drew did was take off the middle console, remove the plastic PRND321 piece, and replace the lights with an LED bar, and the letters with a Blue Gel from any music store. The result is a BRIGHT shifter, but no letters or numbers. I like it!

So all I do is pull it off??? I started to do the DIY for the Head Unit (pulled out the Middle Pocket/Hand Brake cover thingy) but stopped there... I didn't know how to remove the Blake Piece around the Shift and the Sliver Piece w/ PRNDD3D2 around the Shifter... I will say it, kind of a Chicken when it comes to PULLING things out, I didn't see in the DIY about that paticular Piece...

Do I take out the Black Piece or just the Silver Piece and is it attached with only clips like the Center Console???

Hmmm...I'm really not sure. I will have the piece in front of me when I get home, so I'll get on tonight if I have time and post what I know. Ok, sent a PM to Drew... Hope he gets it soon and is able to help me with it... Would like to try to do it this weekend along with the Cruise/MoonRoof/Mirror Controls... Thanks for the help guys, but be warned, there will be more questions coming from me...
