EX, HX, and LX gauge cluster interchangable?

ok, i found an LX gauge cluster with a "soon to be exact" mileage of my EX that needs replacement after i fried it. from another thread it looks like the redline of the LX and EX are the same, but is it plug and play? i don't care if the LX has a different color face, but my main concern is the ecu recognizing it and not giving me "check engine" or "srs" lights. if this is the case, then the HX gauge is good too, right? thanks.

yeah, that's what i thought, but look at this pic of Pyro's LX gauge posted on this thread
It looks exactly like an EX gauge but with a black face. Also, even if the redline is different i could always slap on an EX indiglo gauge face.

EX and LX have the same redline. And yes, they are interchangeable. Just plug it in and go at it. Make sure the mileage is correct tho, if not you have to put a sticker on the door or something stating that the mileage is off by whatever number. Have fun.

the thing is that if you have an EX and put an LX cluster, you'll loose the ABS light, since LX models don't come equipped with ABS, so if your ABS fails you won't know until it begins to affect the brakes performance. I have a DX and have swapped the cluster with an EX unit and had to cover the ABS light, because it stays on because on no ABS in my car. I know they work fine, plug and play, at least on my car. here's how it looks with no ABS light
