Search can be fustrating...not everyone thinks the same way.... if we did, searching would be a lot easier... take it easy man...

I was wondering the same thing, too... I just got my neons and i'm not sure where to put the switch

A deluxe place (but hard to put in) for switches is right under the area where the stereo and controls are - a friend of mine took that out - drilled a few spots, and then put a few switches there for nemourous stuff - like he have 4 switches for air suspencion, 1 for booty call, 1 for neons, 1 for fog lights, 1 for a few inside neons under seats and 2 more for I forgot - it really look nice tho, the switches are a little bit hidden, but right above them (and belo the defrost-A/C-recirc switches) he put a few custom stickers to indicate each switch - like neon show arro comes from under car, and susepension sho which wheel go up - it reaLLY pretty funny, I like

-just crazy idea for those want uniqueness

Yeah, evildave, I've seen you post A LOT of dumbass ish. Take it easy.
I just put my neons on, and I searched my azz off, but there's not a good amount of info on this site about installing neons. I put my switch in the little space next to the cig lighter. I ordered an OEM fog light switch which I will be using instead of the stock switch. I'm going to take pics tonight, and post a DIY for all the people that want to do neons.

you can place your switches anywhere you like it. Place it a place you would like it and do not place it in EvilDave's A$$. He might like it.

I put mine in the space next to the e-brake. (as you can see) I bent a piece of metal, cut some holes, and mounted my switches. I had to cut a hole in the front of the cubbie hole to run my wires, but it's no big deal. The red switch is a master, and the blue switches are for my neons and strobes.

Another very good place to mount your switches is in the top of the cubbie hole just below the cigarette lighter. Just pop that piece out, cut the right size hole, mount your switch and pop the piece back in. You can't even tell they're there unless it's an illuminated switch and it's on.

if you have a dx, you can put two switches here.. if you have an lx.. one... if you have an EX/Si, you're SOL.

Was up Heres all the info on wiring you need.

Diagram for wiring is at the bottom link!!!

I placed my switch in one of the avaliable slots beside the cig lighter.

If you need to get to the battery go throught the firewall. there is a hole on the passenger side. take the kick gaurd off under the dash by turning the two prongs. pull it out. pull the carpet back and pop out the little purple plug run you wire through.

Holla

Here's my little DIY for wiring it up to the OEM Foglight switch I posted up months ago...

I have a 2k1 LX, so the switch is a little different from the 2k2.

nice diy so if that switch is wired like that the neons blink with the parking lights with keyless entry right. And the lights can be left on with the car off or on right and were can you get you a switch like that.

I got a wireless remote so I wouldn't have to go through the firewall. took me like 5 hours to complete the installation of everything.. most of the time just thinking where i'd mount the stuff and wiring. I need to relocate the front neon; it shows when you look at the car from about 30ft away. could anyone show pics of where they put theirs? I mounted the sides underneath the OEM body kit, and the rear is just.. there. I'll probably take pics later

Spazbitte: I got mine at the dealer... They usually have them in stock because when you get the foglight kit, it doesn't come with the switch... that's why they sell the switch by it's self. For a simple illumated switch it's pricey, I think mine was ~$25

Mex: I have the same problem as you, my front tube looks cool when you are up close, but from a distance, it looks like a stupid exposed tube. Plus it always hit when I parked into a curb etc.

Here's were I have my front ones... since I don't have a good spot on the rear to mount (lack of body kit) I put 2 up front.
But in your case, you could just mount the one in the front bumper. It won't light up the ground, but from head on, it gives a cool glowing grill look.

I mounted it in the bumper just a few days ago.. here's the result:

I'll cut a bigger hole underneath the bumper once I actually have a power saw or something
