Rep Power: 295 Some of us take the basic knowledge we have for granted. I bet before most of us got into cars/electronics/electrics, we didn't know what a ground was.
Just as LikeWEEEEEEEEEE said, the ground is pretty much any metal part of the frame. The frame acts as one huge conductor for the negative terminal of the battery.
edit: The only dumb question is the one left unasked. There's probably a couple other peeps out there who have no idea what a ground is. Now they will find the answer (in this thread) by using the search function.

Rep Power: 311 lol u know what? i remember asking the same exact questions a few months ago...
if ur switch has 3 prongs.. one would be for a constant power source..(battery) the second prong would be the powering going out to whatever it is your powering (postive wire of neons) and the ground is just the negative, (hook this up to any bare metal u can find)

Rep Power: 0 Some people seem to think that the answer to ANY question you could possibly ask is on this site somewhere already & thats not always the case. Next time George Bush has a problem running the country, tell him to SEARCH!!!
