getting hit with a airbag is like getting hit with a freakin rock...... and when that shizt pops it sounds
like a freakin shotgun blast..... so just think how much it would hurt getting hit with a bag that fills with air in
about .500 of a second......

oh no, i believe its like 3000 for airbags to put back in.....airbags are usually what put cars over the limit for being totalled if they are deployed.

I was in an accident in a 93 Accord where the airbag popped....I was slidin sideways when I hit so the bag didn't touch me, but I had a red scrape mark on my wrist where my hand was on the wheel and the bag slid against it....there's a whole bunch of smokey powder stuff after it deploys too, it's apparently like the powder stuff they put in so that the bag doesn't stick together on deployment, that stuff stays floating in the car for a while.
Car was totaled so don't know how much replacement would've been.
You wouldn't even know it's released until you see the thing deflated on the wheel afterwards, so no time to be scared about that.

When I totaled my 96 Accord, the airbag hit me in face. It felt like I got punched. The car filled with smoke. I had no idea what was going on. The girl hit me head on and pinned my fender into my door, I had to climb out the window.

I had a 92 civic sedan, and this guy hit me in the drivers side back door, and my airbag broke my wrist. I was holding tight on the steering wheel, and when it popped out, it snapped my wrist

I was in an accident in my 2k1 civic a few months ago and I got hit by the air bag. As long as you don't sit really close to it you shouldn't be hurt to badly. My right forearm was bruised and burned but hey it saved my life so im not complain it hurts but I'd take a lil pain over death any day.......

arent u suppose to sit close? i think the airbag is designed to hit u in the chest area?? and ppl sit to far back.. causing the airbag to smack them in the face? .. i think if it hits u squarely in the chest.. like it was designed.. it should be alrite

yeah I think airbags were implemented for females...hehe...cuz they either cause or get in 90% of accidents...and do you ever see a dude sitting up to the wheel with 2 hands on it...I rarely do, and if I do it's cuz I scared the sh.it out of him in some way hehe...but seriously I have my seat all the way back and tilted pretty good...I need to keep my legs outstretched when I drive...so if the airbag ever opens on me I'm for sure gunna get 2 black eyes...

p.s. no offense to any ladies on this site, you obviously know how to drive if you're moddin' your ride...

I got into an accident where my brakes locked (DX doesn't have ABS) and skidded into a mound of dirt. I was slowing down as I slid in and my airbags did not deploy but my seat belt pretensioners did. The belts were locked in the exact length as when I went into the dirt. I replaced the seatbelts and tried to reset the SRS system (because the light remained on) but it did not reset. I know there are 2 front SRS sensors, does anyone know if the sensors must be replaced? They are like $45 from Majestic Honda.
