Has anyone taken the slack out of there throttle? My friend said that this was a "grandmother" safety feature. I took it out by loosening the two nuts connected to the cable that runs to the throttle, eyeballing the slack that needed to be pulled out and then tightening the nuts up.

not worth it. if u have an auto ull be brake torquing it and if u have a manual ull be dumping the clutch.

as long as you have the cable flush against the lever thingy on the throttle body, its fine. i have mine barely touching it, so i get great throttle response

I know that throttle cable helps alot. better response and at the same time more feel to the throttle.
does anyone know the stock quarter mile of the 7th gen civic bone stock? or even the 0-60mph time?

thanks.

RICEBOY MOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL don't waste your time doing it, in the long run it's just not worth it, if you want a faster take off you should've bought a faster car.

Oh I almost forgot, if you buy some 2k1civic.com stickers it will automatically adjust the cable for you and give you atleast a 30hp gain at the wheels!!!!

my best stock 1/4 time is a 16.3, but it was my first time ever running it and im sure i could get better after a few more tries. some other people have lower 16s and a few have high 15s so it depends on how good you are at it. i think 0-60mph time is around 10 seconds. maybe 8 or 9.

thanks man. I just read a magazine now and It said the 0-60mph is about 8.5 secs. but it didn't post any quarter mile time. I bet you can get it upto mid 15's with better tires.
