help! el gauges won't turn on!

I need help with my el gauges from autodynamic. I connected the red wire to the red/black wire on the blue gauge thing and I grounded the black wire, but when I try turning them on, nothing turns on. The needles glow so I know the stock gauges are working, just something wrong with the new gauges. Anyone know what to do?

Check all the wires make sure its grounded correctly. Make sure you connected it to the red/black wire coming from the blue connector

I think it may be the brain. I used a volt-meter and the red wire going to the brain has a constant 12v. I then tried the wires coming out of the brain to the dimmer switch, which had to power. Anyone know if it's possible to buy just the brain?

Just something out of the blue, don't know if it'll work. The gauges come with that 2 button switch for changing color and intensity. The switch has it's own connector. You can fit that on 2 ways, so 50% chance. Unless it doesn't matter which way you put it on. I haven't tried that on mine. But you could try to put it on the other way. And you might wanna check the other connectors from the brain to the gauges.

Universal Inverter at AutoDynamic.com but try checking the DIY made for it incase you missed something.

i had the same problem with mine the other day and i went to buy a test light to test the red/black wire and it was the right wire. for some reason my guages worked last night when i installed them again. just one thing though when i hooked up the color control and dimmer,(that wire coming out of the brainbox that controls the color of your lights, with the big red circle at the end of it) my lights went off. then i unhooked that controler tab and they came back on. so my indiglos are stuck at a light green with blue numbering, which is cool anyways.

IDQcivic should not be trusted
Mine used to work all the time, now they hardly ever work... sometimes they are on, then they just go off, and then back on at random... It really pissed me off how cheap these things are made. I have th AC autotechnic ones, I have checked my wires several times, right now I hard wired them directly to positive/negative and I still have probelms, I think I might have to get some new ones...
