need held cleared headlights fogged?
ok i just cleared my headlights, i went for a drive and when i returned i noticed that they looked fogged up. the weird thing is that its not raining out, nor is it very humid. my question would be is there a way i can defog them without taking them apart again? or is there some underlineing reason why they fogged? help is appreciated.

after you've dried..... but only if you want too or feel there is too much clear silicone on it

There's a little vent on the back of the lights...it has a small piece of foam in a clear plastic tube like thing. See if that's clogged up....I had a car and the lights would always fog up when i went through the carwash...it turns out this little vent was clogged...
hope this helps..

I just wanted to let you guys know that instead of gobbing my headlights with silicone after
I cleared them, at the recommendation of a friend I put them in the oven for about 3 min at
170 degrees and they resealed PERFECTLY! I didn't have to use any silicone, it just resealed
with the factory goop and I've already driven through a torrential rain and I live in a very
humid area and have had no problems... I think they should add this method to the DIY section,
since I found a couple of things superfluous in there. Just heat them up, take them out, and
MASH like hell! I know this is too late for you, but for future reference...

No, the bulb is just clear. You'll need to buy an amber or orange bulb to put in its place or you'll get pulled over like i did. The amber piece of glass is there cause its required by law. But just take the orange part out and leave the clear reflector and and an orange bulb and you'll be legal. You can take the clear reflector part out too(you'll know what I mean when you clear yours) but its illegal. I know here in NJ you can fail inspection for it.
