Does it know if you are using regular vs premium?

Just curious......

okay, i really don't know the answer to your question, but i do have this to say: besides the presence of detergents in super unleaded, there is no other advantage to running super unleaded in an engine that does not need it.

i believe this has been discussed before, but how it works is, if you consistently use a higher octane gas, your ecu will adjust to this fuel. now i say adjust, not run better. once the ecu had adjusted to this higher octane, putting a lower octane will decrease the performance of the car. but if you use say 87 or 89 from the day you bought your car, you will have the exact same performance as if you put 93 in. so yes it does adjust, but i say save the money, get the same performance and put just normal gas in.

i agree - I only run premium gas when I do an oil change to clean my injectors.
