what's the point of...
ACTUALLY, when you get a tach like that, you can have a big light that lights up at a given RPM value, and other stuff like that. I wouldn't get one, but that's why some people have them.
also as you modify your car your true redline changes, you cannot set a new redline on the stock tach so these after market ones serves such a purpose alot of them also have shift lights you can set at a certain rpm value and are very helpful in shifting while still keeping a close eye on the road, because you just see out of the corner of your eye and shift dont have to look down at your cluster to see if youre at redline.
Does anyone know if there is a programable shift light without the tacky tachometer? I don't race a '72 Nova after all. I'm looking for something that could be mounted in the pillar at about eye level. That would be handy and subtle. Thanks.
hey hey no flaming killa i have an ex and i have the autometer 5" tach as well...it is more accurate and u get a cool shiflite!!! mine is red and looks tight! u can get just the light but that would've costed more money for me in my situation or i would've done it

Why get one of those big, 5" tachs? I have an ex and already have one...why would I want a second one? why do other people buy them?[hr]
