how can i keep my floor mats in place...

This is not a big deal, but it really annoys me. the front floor mats, especially the drivers side, always seem to move forward after driving. its obviously my movement that does this, but whatever. They're the standard '02 floormats with the civic logo stitched in. I know there's 2 holes with metal surrounds in them, so what can I put in them to hook them to the floor's carpeting so they'll stop moving. Interesting story, the one's in my brother's old '90 accord used to do this really bad and one day on my way to school the floor mat got partially jammed up under the brake pedal when i was going to stop. luckily it wasnt jammed too hard but it scared the **** out of me.

Yeah, it's like two hooks that stick up from under the seat, that's what those holes in the mats are for. If you buy them from the dealer when you purchase the car I guess they install the hooks for you.

those two metal hooks come with OEM floormats...don't have to buy them separately....they should be inside the box..

Yeah man, the whole reason to buy the overpriced OEM floor mats is that they fit perfectly. If your are moving around...yeah, something is wrong.

Yeah same thing with me. Is it hard to install the hooks yourself?

Very simple to install, all you need is a screwdriver and 1 minute, no lie.

I had the same prob... I had the sales dude thro in oem matts, but since he did that... they didn't come w/ the hooks... kinda like he just grabed a set out of a car and put them in mine.

Complained to the dealer for the hooks, but they were bitches, so I had to buy a pair. A pair of those damn hooks comes to around $25 I think.

but you'll love them once they are in. It's a huge freaking pain with out them.

Decamo has a little shameless behaviour in the past
Is there a way to mod the passenger OEM floor mat to have hooks too? Its annoying that everytime i take a passenger i have to readjust that floor mat.

alright my situation is somewhat the same, i have the hooks arleady but the upper left section always moves over (probably cause i don't rest my foot on that black footrest!)and i often have to grab it to move it so that it don't look akward, if you understand what i mean, i would like to know what to do to keep it from moving? are there any products or could i tape it to the carpet?
