car set on fire
KUBSKI: get your "truth" straight...
the aspire was made by kia. all ford did was slap their blue oval on it and sell it. it may have been a flop here in the US, but i sure saw a lot of 'em over in europe.
approximate time it takes to think about and physically press the caps lock key: 0.260 sec.

1. I dont see anything wrong with RWD. In fact, for better performance, you need it.
I've owned a fiat 124 convertable, a chevy astro, a ford crown vic, and a nissan crew cab 2wd, I am well aware that there is nothing wrong with RWD.
2. Low Tech: This makes no sense. Oh my god, oh no, it doesnt have VTEC or any other crap like that, so what.
The 6 is a push rod motor, it's body on frame, it's got a solid axle, it's low tech, the only high tech thing in the mix is the 8 - and it's a bit out of place.... The new IRS Cobra with the DOCH in it is about the equivalent (but it's 30k)
3. If all your doing is flooring it and driving the **** out of it, your going to get bad gas mileage in any car, EVEN IN A CIVIC.
25 beats 12, infact its' twice the mileage.
4. My insurance was 169 a month with my cobra, and thats not that high compared to what some people pay on their import here.
I'd probably pay about that too, my civic on the other hand costs me $66 a month.
5. I had no problem geting 4 people in my coupe, again, I have no idea why you brought that up.
give me a break, the mustangs FRONT seats are crowded for a 6 footer, FORGET the back!
6. With snow tires, they handle better in the snow than my civic did. MY civic didnt handle that well in the snow at all.
Bull, the mustang is garbage in snow, one of the guys here at work (in boston) just bought one this winter with all the rebates and financing, i asked him what he thought he was doing. Big snow storm comes... "Hey hows the 'stang" he just shook his head.....
And my brother has a 96 V6 and has now had it for 6 years with no problems at all.
wow times have sure changed.. back in the days people used to buy big engined POS gas guzzling american POS cars..now people are wiser and understand more that CHevy, FOrd, Olds, Caddilac, are all sh*t.
Maybe someday the rest will understand..till then ...if youre driving an import and u see a brokedown american car pulled off to the side of the road, dont forget to stop, say HI, tell them "shoulda got a import" and give them the finger HEHEHE

I don't know how you fit 4 people in there. Are you all midgets. I am 6'2" and I have never sat in a Mustang where I didn't have to lean my head on my shoulders. Also IMO they are ugly cars. It seems like every year they look the same.
Look at:
When i got my fist POS civic, I thought it $ucked and I hated honda. Then I got a new car from honda, and my opinion changed. I guess they aren't TOO bad, but they still $uck...
Then about a month ago the feds were proposing new emmisions and fuel requirements. Ford, Chevy, they fought like crazy "it will kill suv's" "the cars will be less safe" (GM happens to sell some of the most deadly cars and trucks on the road) these guys talked all sorts of horse-$hit about how they couldn't do it.
Honda was THE ONLY company to say bring the ruckus, we can hack it.
Guess who one? NOT HONDA. (F-ing politians)
We need a cleaner planet and better fuel economy. The guys at honda seem to know that, the guys at the big 3 have there heads so far up their bum's they are so out of touch, they simply won't be able to sell cars to our generation cuz we can see through there BS.
As for honda, my respect has been restored.
'nuff said.

I really don't think it matters what make you go with - basically you will get whatever you pay for. Buy a cheap car, get a cheap car. The new Mustangs are great. I like all cars, but I have to say without a doubt my next car will have AWD.

back to the subject, i guess i'll be the first to say "I SMELL SOME BS"!!!
hmm... if YOUR car started on fire for no apparent reason, what would be the first thing you'd wanna know? what your next car is gonna be?
yeah, right. i'd kinda like to know HOW THE F*CK MY CAR STARTED ON FIRE IN THE FIRST PLACE!
anyways, thanks for the trolling, dadday85... hope your mustang burns too.
(and realize that a civic with NOS will burn you as well... at the track, that is...)

So let me get this straight:
Would a RWD, low tech, gas guzzling, high insurance, cramped, imposible to drive in the snow ford.....
Be a good replacement for..............
A FWD, low insurance, high tech, fuel efficient, roomy civic.
Hmmm, if you put it that way...........no, chances are, no it would not.
Go buy a WRX or a turboneon, or an MP5 or MP3 or a SpecV, or an altima, or anything with a 1.8t in it.
Those MIGHT be better choices..................MAYBE
genuine bad mouth?
maybe you need to go look around, dohc isn't high tech, it's been around since the 70ies, plus we have sohc
i've been in my friend's mustang, not that cramped, you are also looking at a sports car, not a family commuter.

maybe you had a good insurance record and pay insurance with someone else, but my insurance company has told me civics has one of the highest insurance around, because most kids drive it and they wreck it.

last time i checked, when i was at WOT against a mustang, i was wasting a lot less gas, but it still beat me.
i am not saying mustang are good cars, but sometimes, give a chance to the domestics
This is the funniest thread EVAR!
The guy says his car(honda) caught fire for some unknown reason, and then an entire thread follows echoing the "Ford Sucks" slogan!

well all Iam going to say is remember it is a Ford regardless if it is a GT or a Cobra it is still a ford. and they have not made a ford yet that is more dependable than a honda so untill they make good cars I would stay away .... Oh by the way I used to be a Chev man (as if you couldnt tell )
