Rep Power: 0 My god. some people have no clue what they are talking about. Before my civic and toyota, I had a 89 tauaus GL, 91 Taurus SHO, 95 T-bird SC and a 96 cobra. I didnt have any problems with any of them whatsoever, and if something broke on it, it was because it smashed it into a guardrail or over a curb. Quit bashing other car manufacturers especialy when you have no idea what your talking about.

Go buy a WRX or a turboneon, or an MP5 or MP3 or a SpecV, or an altima, or anything with a 1.8t in it.
Those MIGHT be better choices..................MAYBE

4. My insurance was 169 a month with my cobra, and thats not that high compared to what some people pay on their import here.
5. I had no problem geting 4 people in my coupe, again, I have no idea why you brought that up.
6. With snow tires, they handle better in the snow than my civic did. MY civic didnt handle that well in the snow at all.
And my brother has a 96 V6 and has now had it for 6 years with no problems at all.

Rep Power: 338 I like mustangs, personally. But I have heard so much negative talk about them. I just wish they made fords like the did back in the 60's, dont we all agree there[IMG]i/expressions/beer_yum.gif[/IMG]? My boy had a 2000 stang, and e hated it after a year of driving it around. He said it sucked in bad weather, and it was too typical of a sport car. I think he was talking about the interior, which I do have to agree with him on. I love American cars, as much as I do imports. But before I would go into buying any car, I would consult with people who have owned them, which you have done very well

I owned 94 topaz, it was pretty sh!tty though. [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-frown.gif[/IMG] Really slow, had leaks and broke down on me once. Never hada any accidents with it. Few scrapes. Other wise it never let me down, took from point A to point B.

The civic you're talking about having just as bad mileage doesn't count cause as the name says, the mu-stank was Found On Road Dead therefore not using any gas. Your insurance being good was either cause you're married or mid-late 20's with a clean record so yeah you're right, the insurance would be the same as my buddies that have several tickets for speeding with their imports.[IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif[/IMG]

IM GLAD I GOT RID OF THAT HUNK OF LUMP.. FORDS ARE USELESS, NO WONDER THEY HAVE SUCH LOW APR % ON FORDS, THE DEALERS KNOW THEY DON'T HAVE A GOOD QUALITY PRODUCT, SO THEY HOPE THEY CAN SELL IT WITH THE INTEREST OFFERS. you tell me why rwd is so much better! the bmws are CONSTANTLY going off course where the fwd cars are more then able to hold their course.....

Rep Power: 0 Im not trying to cause problems here, but there seems to be alot of people here who think that civics or hondas in general are the best thing on this planet. If you actualy belive that, people need to cruise over to the VEHICLE ISSUE/PROBLEMS forum and see what people say over there.
And your right, I have had great luck with all my Ford cars and my civic and now so far my toyota. But I have also heard horror stories of people with their civics and accords and swear they would never buy another one. I tried not to say this because I really do love this site, but I swear, sometimes I want to throw up when I hear people talk about how much better their honda is than there friends mustang, or camaro, or other cars.
Bottom line, the only reason I bought my civ was because I needed to slow down and stop geting tickets. If I could have kept my t-bird or cobra, I would have. In fact, in 2 more years, Im prolly going to buy a 03 Cobra. People who drive domestics think that import drivers are really cocky and people who drive imports think that people w/ domestics are cocky. Its a no win situation for everyone. Peace.

rwd is better, much more even weight displacement, power at one set of wheels and control at another... and you can drift a rwd around a turn, not a fwd
