oh man, DIY painting trim problem some 1 please
i did the DIY but it looks like it ame out alittle rough and not so smooth??? how can i fix this up?
use a better quality paint. I know the 64 cent paint they have at walmart looks tempting, but try plasti-kote. I didn't even need to sand or clearcoat it, and it came out smooth and still with the original texture.

Make sure you paint indoors to reduce contaminates. I'd suggest covering your bathroom with plastic wrap and spray painting in there. Also be sure the exhaust fan is on. After you finish a coat, shut the door. Hopefully you won't get too high. Make sure you buy plastikote. Its more expensive, but you get what you pay for.
- When you paint you have to prime it first, then wait 30 minutes, then apply 2-3 more coats, waiting 30 minutes in between each coat.
- Try to figure out a way to suspend the peices. This is more effective for spray painting.
- After that, clear coat the peices in the same manner. After you are done, your trim should not peel or crack.
- If you take your time and do it right, you'll not have to waste time re painting your trim.
Take it from me, its easier to take your time and do it right the first time.
