okay....this is what a switch looks like

does the 12 volt power go to 1 or 2

I think my black light wires will go to the 1 and the 3

is this correct??

flip it to what you want teh "on" position to be. then run your neg to teh switch, and your pos to teh light, and the other side of teh light to the switch.

then just mess around, and clap them onto which ever leads turn on the neon. double check to see hat it will turn back off.

your done.

i'm not really sure what that other guy is talking about, but this is what I did: run your battery to +1 run your positive lead of your neons to +2 .the negative on the light goes to a bolt somewhere on your car, just like an amp. the negative on the switch can be hooked up to a bolt also. if you don't hook up the negative on the switch, the swich won't light up. the lights will, but the switch won't. good luck, don't burn your car down.
