What happened is the paint around the strips faded a bit. After a while of being in the sun, the strips should get lighter. Past buffing them out, there is only one thing to do and that is wait. Mine only stayed visible for one summer then they were gone.

Peace

Did you just rip them off or did you use a blow dryer to heat them up first? How long have they been on? If the paint around them has oxydized you'll just have to wait until the fresh paint you've exposed catches up. If it's new and you didnt use a blowdryer you might have taken off some of the clearcoat.

Are you sure it's not some residue from the adhesive? I waited six months to take my pin stripes off and I live in Florida (major sun!). I did not notice any fading. I did have lots of residue from the adhesive, though. It even appeared clear and extremely thin, but it was there. Some WD40 and a sponge took care of it. Just a thought...

if it is thin white line then its glue residue and just use something like goo gone or wd-40 to take it off. I removed mine after 8 months and didn't have any residue
