idea on dc header

i was looking at the dc header and correct me if im wrong though, there is some piece of metal(lookslike an x)in the runners.now, the hp racing header(s) runners are hollow. now if i got a dremel or something to shave off the bar in the runners of the dc header, would you think that would make a difference in the performance since theres nothing in the way of the runners?

IDQcivic should not be trusted
I never noticed it, I would probably just leave it, it's there for a reason. I have the header and it works fine the way it is.

a
x helps the air flow inside the header. I read something like that in HONDA TUNING MAG.
