Neons inside the middle air vent

Does anyone have a DIY on how to get behind the middle air vent and insert some neons lights?
and also if I can hook up wires from the neonlight withouth the use of the cigarrette lighter adapter. thanks in advanced.

it's also the DIY headunit install. not very hard and it'll probably look better if you wire it from behind without the plug =O)

I want/plan on "blue"ing my entire dash (very similar to Drew), so if anyone can lemme know on what products they bought (like neon lights, LEDs) and wiring schemes, I would greatly appreciate it. I guess basically I'm looking for a DIY. The one's posted for redo-ing the dash dont work.

you could hard wire them to prevent tapping into cig lighter. you'd just have to buy a switch of some kind to prevent killing you battery after you turn the car off. if you bought the street glow brand, there are instructions on how to do that on the back of the package. you cut off the cig lighter plug, and wire to switch and then run the wire to your battery, and a ground. that's a simplified version.
