melting or cutting plastic?

well i know if you use a cut wheel like a dremel you will melt it and it comes out like crap.....best way is to score it with a sharp blade and be really careful not to cut yourself.

what works really well is scoring the plastic with a laminate knife ( Laminate= the stuff on your counter top in your kitchen....and no not the marble U ritch bast@rd [IMG]i/expressions/moon.gif[/IMG] )......this works well when making straight cuts just score and snap the plastic......for curved cuts a dremel with the side cutting bit used for the router attachement working with a slow speed and letting the tool do the cutting will give u a nice cut without melting...but the dremel works well with the fiberglass re-enforced cutting discs...slow speed and letting the tool do the cutting with out pushing will give you a nice cut without melting
