How to relay projector lights?
Hi, can someone teach me how to relay my projector lights so that when I turn on the high beams, the low beams will turn on as well?
Thanks in Advance

i was gonna write it down here but it seems that you're gonna have to do a lot more work for it coz you either have to cut the wire to the high beams and get a low voltage relay ... run the coil in series...but nah...don't want to since it might not work out properly

OK guys here is how it works
you will need 2 relays one per side
cut the positive wire going to the low beam light bulb
the bulb side of the wire (the wire still attached to the bulb harness) goes on pin #30
the switch side of the wire (the other half of the wire that has been cut) goes on pin #87a
12v+ (best source of power for this will be from the battery fused close to the battery with about a 15amp fuse) goes on pin #87
a good chassis ground goes to pin # 85
12v+ from the high beam (just tap into the positive wire going to the light) goes on pin #86
this will allow the low beam to be on with or without the high beam
always use at least the factory guage wire for all new wires
double check all connections before trying this out
***IMPORTANT*** all of this information is assuming the light has constant ground and is given 12v+ when the light is turned on check this first I have no time to check myself as it is 2am and I dont feel like going outside now.....if the light has constant 12v+ and is switched on by a negative trigger it goes like this
cut the negative wire to the low beam
the bulb side will go to pin #30
the switch side to pin #87a
a good chassis ground to pin #87
12V+ to pin #86(this is just a trigger so it does not draw much current so us a convienent source like the constant 12v+ to the light bulb)
negative trigger from high beam to pin #85
This will work for any car you want to do this with

Oh yeah if youre doing all of this you might as well relay the headlights (high and low beam) so they get more power and put out more light.......need to know how to do this??????
If so ask here and I'll describe that as well
