K2 HID Conversion help!
there was a similar thread posted not too long ago but it didn't answer my question so thought i start a new one. i just got my hid kit and i noticed that there was no relay kit for the h4 connectors. after reading this thread i figured no big deal, problem is it doesn't work and i asked the people who sold me the kit and they say that it doesn't need a relay kit and only the philips hid kit uses relays. the diagram below is what i tried and it's not working. it doesn't make sense 'cause the connectors do not go into the h4 sockets tightly and i'm afraid i'll break it if i push any harder. also, i've upgraded the fuses to 20 amp. please help!

i definitly think you need that little relay box to reduce voltage and other goodies
i haven't seen a hid kid without it, that includes, philips, k2, hella and that other company...
You need to make a realys. Just go to Radio Shack and get 2 30amp relays. You need relays because the ballasts need more wattage than stock bulbs for start up. So, basically if you just plug it into the headlight harness you will screw up your headlight system. Later on you will not be able to turn on your headlights at all. Also, when you turn on your HID lights, make sure everything is pluged in. Otherwise, you will fry the ballasts.
