Going to Buy Springs soon...NEED HELP.
Okay i finally have the funds to start considering on buying lowering springs for my 2k1 ex coupe. I want the drop to be about 1.75 all around or if not then somewhat close. What is the most you can drop without having your camber affected? I'm not too sure if 1.75 will be too much or be fine on my stock 15" wheels. Anyone have pics of them with 1.5 and 1.75 drop? I'm sorta lookin at the neuspeed sports and H&Rs cause of the height but any input would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Neuspeed Sport springs all the way. I have heard nothing but good things from them. . If you want to see a good pic of what the car looks like with them check out PimpDakota's ride. Nice and level. . From what he tells me. . The car stays flat on the turns and the overall ride quality is better than stock. They also help with appearance by lowering the car to what seems to be a perfect height in my opinion.. About the camber. Any adjustment in the ride height from stock is going to affect your camber. Sometimes it's truely nothing to worry about other times it's soo off the car looks messed up. I would just pick up a corrective kit, they aren't too expensive and it avoids any potential problems. I figure if you're going to spend money might as well do it right the first time. So good luck with the decision. I don't think you'll be let down with Neuspeed. I'm definately getting them when I get the $$. Oh. . and not that it matters but here is a pic of my mostly stock ride.. Anyways. Hope this helps. .
PS. Don't worry about 15's .. You can drop pretty far with no problems. The only thing is the 15's may not fill in the gap to well, but ya never know.

i just got these springs(neuspeed sports: 1.7front 1.5back) installed on sat. i have 14 inch stock hubcaps.. well i wasn't too happy with the drop. it just wasnt low enough for me(you could barely tell it was dropped). i'm kinda thinking i should have gone with the race but then i would probably be scraping my bottom everywhere with those so i guess i'm fine with my sports. i havn't scraped anything yet. and as for the ride, it isn't as nice a stock but its almost as good, a lil bouncy but not too much. i think eibach sportlines are slightly higher(and cost about $50 more) then neuspeeds and the h&r(about 1.3 inch drop) are much higher then these. so ya my suggestion would be these. it wouldn't effect the camber too much, but i'm sure the race would.

Damn, that car is pretty sweet... If there was ever to be a Knight Rider 2002, that car would be the new Kitt

I like my Goldlines, but I have -2 degrees of camber in the rear until I get a camber kit!

<< Hmm. . .not too well acquainted with the neuspeeds, but I've heard nothing but praise about the drop AND ride on the Goldlines. That's what I'm going with.

sorry i dont have pictures, dont have a scanner or digital camera. the front is about half an inch gap from fender to tire and the back is about 1.5 inch gap(i'll check exact measurement when i have time). looking at it from the front, the car looks pretty low, but from the back it almost looks stock. i've heard good thing about goldlines too but i've heard they were really bouncy. n their about the same price as neuspeeds so i just went with neuspeeds.

Alright i think i'mma either get the neuspeed sport springs or the goldline...(goldline site said it gives the coupe 1.75) Will either of these springs installed need a camber kit or alignment kit? I cant afford a camber kit but i want the lowest drop w/o the camber being affected too badly or at all.

i didn't get a camber kit or alignment....
i've heard you dont really need a camber kit unless the drop is 2 inches or lower. especially if you have stock tires, because the tires isn't as stiff, it wont be too badd...
as for alignment, people say you need to get it, but when i let go of the steering wheel it doesn't lean either left or right and its stock 14s anyways so i'm not too worried... i plan on getting rims within 2 months so i'll probably get a camber kit and alignment tho cause i dont want to run the risk or replacing my tires for $600 every 6 months.

just go the neuspeed sports installed in my car today. the ride is so much better than my gc coilovers. the drop is perfect with this springs if you have a body kit. might be too high if you don't have one.
Im getting my Neuspeed sports in the mail tomorrow and installing them this weekend. I got 15" Volks, hopefully the gap wont be too bad. Im thinking since i have a kit it will be just fine. I think Neuspeed sport looks good...Look at 01Incapearl's ride...plus i got a Magnaflow catback and everyone is having problems scraping it so it should work out ok...ill get pics up soon
