Upper Grill?
Upper Grill?
is it true that in order to replace the oem grill to an aftermarket mesh grill, it is necessary to remove the bumper to get the job done? anyone done it to their car yet? if it require to remove the whole bumper to remove the stock grill then i will back off from getting a mesh grill then.

well you dont actually have to remove it all the way..just do all the places but under the bumper...then just pull the thing down till you can get to the grill.....its very easy
really? damn..why so stupid to remove the bumper to replace the grill? this is gaayy...i remembered helping my friend swaping the grill on the 99 civic was like 10 mins job.... anyway if i want to remove the bumper and change the grill, i need to jack the car up to do right? and since i remove the bumper, would u guys recommended i clear the headlight too since removing the headlight would require the front bumper off (i assume)? correct me if i am wrong about the headlight.
I've posted this before and no actually you don't have to remove the bumper-heck I didn't. I replaced the OEM grill with the alteeza. You ned to let your car sit out in the sun for a while. Since the front of our cars is pretty much plastic-the plastic can bend, just becareful but it can be done. If you have the coupe (like mine) the grey plastic piece won't fit back in (this piece is screwed to the OEM grill) even if you take off the bumper. You need to replace that w/ the sedan one or just leave it off like I did and save some $$.

removing the bumper is real easy. only takes about 10 mins. i dont think it should deter you from getting the grill. and if you plan on doing the headlights expect to spend an extra 2-3 hours if it your first time.

u dont have to remove the bumper all the way, just remove it partially, just unclip the screws at the top. u dont have to unclip the screws on the bottom. pull it out halfway, then switch the grills and screw it in. thats what i did
