Respond to Question ASAP Please!
ok I installed my coilovers and the back is bouncy as all get out and makes a noise when I hit bumps, so I called the company that makes my coilovers (They are R1 Dual spring coilovers) and they told me that I need to take off the dust cover on the shock(the metal dust cover). This doesn't sound safe to me it would be really bad for the shocks. What are your guys takes on this??
hmm.. if i'm thinking what ur sayin.... then ur back shocks are probably blown....... cuz 3 of mine are blown.. and its pretty bouncy and i hear a metal to metal hit when i run over a bump... thats only when i'm goin fast and the bump is not so deep... but deep enough... anyway... i have skunk2 coils... but i'm sayin.. thats probly what it is

mwwhonda: How do you like your suspension and how much of a drop do you have? I used to have the same setup on my old Jetta and loved it even with a 2" drop.
I just don't know how good it'll be on a Civic.

I'll bet your shocks are blown, I had the dual spring setup on mine w/ stock shocks, bounced like hell too and bottomed out all the time, look at the spring on the shocks while theyre onthe car ; Do they look almost fully compressed? little or no space between the coils? if so probably blown..............I'm getting Konis!

these duals work good on my friends 95 civic when he bought them for that, I think I see what the guy was talking about so I am gonna try what he said
because what it looks like is the top of the dust cover is hitting the top plate in the coilovers

OK I found my problem and it is that the top of the spring set is compresed down enough that it is resting on top of the shock so pretty much my spring isn't doing anything and I am ridding on the Aframe of the car, but I don't want to raise the back end up anymore, anyone have any sugestions?
