I installed these guages last weekend and the DIY is very helpful and accurate. Print it out so you can look at the pics while you are tearing things apart. I would add the following suggestions:
There is a little bit of "play" in the stock gauge faces. After you have them out and the cover off, try moving them around a bit and you will understand what I mean. There are 4 small pegs in the black piece that holds the faces down. These go into gauges to hold them in roughly the right place. Like the DIY recommends, be sure to tape the new gauges to the old ones to keep the needles from sticking. There was some thin, double-sided tape in the box with my gauges. I would only use the small "rings" of tape and place them around the holes for each needle (especially the speedo and tach). Stick the rings to the new gauges, slide the new gauges over the needles, line up the peg holes EXACTLY, remove the backing for the fuel gauge, and press the new gauges on to the old ones. Work your way accross the guages, making sure the peg holes all line up. Doing this will make sure the new faces line up just right around the circular centers of the needles and keep any light from showing through around the needle centers.
Hope this helps. Have fun and good luck!
