How do I take off the handbrake cover?

Dose anyone know how to take off the cover that coveres the hand brake? Some help would be appreciated thank you!

What do you want to do? Just take it off? Why? Are you planning to make a custom hand brake boot?

as far as i know your better of just cutting it...i havent touched mine but im pretty sure ive read that people with aftermarket e-breaks had to cut that lil bugger off

I think you guys are referring to the hand brake handle though. What about the whole hand brake cover. Is that what you're asking PseudoChrist? I though that maybe you wanted to put on a custom e-bake cover. Anyway, I think the whole thing can be taken off. I'm kinda busy, so I can't try it now. If you want though, I can try to take it off tomorrow and I could get back to you. Let me know...

Yeah I am, specificly the boot. If you could try that, that would be great ive been tryin for awhile but couldent get it. Thank alot grey!

The only related DIY there is "Replace Stock Shift Boot (or removing the grey coupling on the stock boot)". We're talking about the emergency brake boot. The one made out of plastic. Good link for taking out the center console though.

when I accented my stuff silver, My lx sedan came with gold trim. so I had to paint everything, includint the e brake. I took the whole thing out

Allright i finaly got it, it takes some elbo grease but it just slides off so to say. You have to angle it a bit and pull up then out.

yeah prolly the boot because i like the handle thats on there im either going to paint it red or make it carbon fiber.
