Fender Piece. please help

i'm in the process of clearing my head lights. i got to step six. but i'm having problem yanking the bumper cover off. my main concern is what do i do with the black piece that goes around teh fender?!?!? its glued on really tight! do i need to take it off? please help.

jamesbbh is an unknown quantity at this point

theres two screws you have to take off inside the fenderwell, after that and all the little clips you should just be able to yank it off

i actually meant the black thin rubber piece that goes around
