you have to find a cluster with nearly the same mileage as you have now.

Very few dealerships have the machine, the ones that do prob wouldn't do it, if they did do it it would cost hundreds. I've heard of a few places on line that do it for around $150, but they seem pretty sketch.

Basicly, just listen to whatever Gearbox, tells you.

Re: Odometer reading on CLUSTER SWAPS, help?!

cheapest i found is $125, but remember it wont be much cheaper since the machine that does it costs $10k for them. im not even sure its possible to do the analog style. it only applies to digital which i think only started in 2001+ civics.so yeah just keep your eyes on ebay, eventually something you want with close mileage will pop up. doesnt have to be exact, but a lil over your current miles is fine too.

The dx was the "cheap" civic, as in cheaper than an already fairly cheap car, there was supposed to be a civic for everyone, the si for the tuner, the ex for the person who wants luxury items with some power, the lx for the luxury but not the performance, and the hx for the fuel economy.

The dx used to not even come with a passenger side mirror on the eg's.

Just swap the speedometer from your car to the new gauge cluster, so your mileage will transfer.
