Interior cloth separating from plastic...

The cloth/headliner style material that is on the interior of the drivers side door is starting to separate from the door panel itself, specifically that area that is closest to the front end of the car. I noticed that the edges were rolled and pressed into the grooves on the door panel, so I tried cleaning the area and coming back with glue just on the rolled portion and reinserting it into the groove, but to no avail. Would just regular headliner glue work here? The material is pretty thin, and it would be bonding straight to the plastic...just curious how to fix it.

its very common. most of us rip it off and replace with a new fabric. the heavier types you can use spray glue. i chose a thin suede and used double-sided fabric tape. but to fix the fabric you have, try the 3M spray adhesives. be sure to read the directions on the can for proper bonding.
