I want to make my 2005 Civic EX better, I don't know much about putting performance parts in cars. I have worked on cars before, but not much more than standard work. I was wondering what are some changes you can instruct me on for between 100-400 bucks (per part), I already looked and a cold air intake, but what else? I realize that I will spend a decent amount. any ideas? thanks!

Lets see along with cold air you can do a lot of things. Like header, high flow exaust. That will incress horse power, and lets not forget a new fuel rail and injectors. A new computer would be great as well. Then there are the things that would cost a bit more like a supercharger for an automatic or a turbocharger for a standard. But you will be spending a lot of money if you want high horsepower. the best way to go would be a new computer(ECU) or a chip for your current ECU. Like most people you would probably be surprised at the amount of power that simple upgrade will get you.

Do you know of any good ecu chips? I was told about unichip, but it is very expensive. also, should a chip only be installed after all the other parts are put on? or does order not matter? and are super chargers street legal?
