7th gen lx/ex exhaust conversion questions

So i'm in the process of getting ex exhaust components for my lx. (stock ex header, megan drift exhaust, m2 downpipe). However I got the downpipe in but it only has one bung for the o2 sensor. My question is how far down the pipe can I weld the second bung so I don't need o2 extension cable? Since I'm not going to have a cat iand am just going to use the spark plug defouler trick.

My second question is will the stock o2 cable from the lx header reach the first bung on the ex down pipe or is it so short it won't reach the extra 6 inches or so?

The stock ex header should have an o2 bung in it.

No man the stock EX exhaust has both of the O2 bungs on the down pipe.

Stock EX downpipe - Note the first sensor at the very top of the downpipe right below where it connects to the header.

if you are not using a cat, it shouldnt matter where the second sensor goes. the exhaust will not change composition over a 1-2 foot area of pipe. you could weld a bung right after the first bend and still be fine.

Yeah I wasn't worried about the readings, I just wanted to know so I could weld it to a similar location as the LX sensor so I wouldn't have to get a wire extension or have a bunch of slack hanging off. Oh well, my exhaust is supposed to get here to tomorrow so when I get it up on the lift I'll take a look at it.

yeah pretty much anywhere on the downpipe should be fine. just do not put any sensor bung in the header piece.
