breather chamber hose disconnected-what damage could have been done?

94 civic dx 213,000. I bought the car with an exhaust leak in several locations. I replaced everything from the cat back and couldn't find any other leaks but could still smell it in the engine and in the cabin when the heat/fan was on. I kept it in recirculate mode during the winter months and windows in the summer to avoid snuffing myself out. I assumed since that i had a small leak somewhere in my exhaust manifold, but financial constraints stopped me from replacing that.

I was changing the oil today and noticed that the breather tube leading into the breather chamber was disconnected but touching it just enough to appear connected without closer inspection. i shoved it back in about 90% (tough angle, I'm going to work in it a little later when i have more time).

I'm curious though if there is any potential damage to the engine that could have been done. I can say with out a doubt that it has been off for the last 13,000 miles, and who knows how long before that.

I haven't noticed any issues in with the car. no CEL mpg is good, small amount of oil in the intake hose leading to the air filter, but filter is still clean. no pinging, no loss of power that i really noticed, but it has been this way since i bought the car. cylinder compression was 180 +/-5 when i purchased it.

What could have caused the breather hose to disconnect? should i remove and inspect for blockage?

i replaced the pcv and pcv hose when i bought the car as a random preventative maintenance item to an old highmilage car.

link to a picture of what was disconnected. #2 in the diagram.
