01 EL SSRS heated interior into 05 Civic EX w/o SSRS

Title says pretty much everything, my question is how hard will it be to get the SSRS and heated seats of an 01 EL leather interior to work once installed in my 05 Civic EX that doesn't have either?

TBH I wouldn't touch the Side Airbags with a 10 foot pole. You'd probably need the wiring harness, plus the srs module and possibly ecu from an EL... the SRS system is far too sensitive in our cars and you'd probably end up breaking the entire SRS system.

^agree. I wouldnt mess with the srs system. Its not worth the head ache. If I were you i would install the seats and forget about the side airbags working. Just leave ur current SRS system the way it is. As far as having the heated seats work, meaning heat up, i would hook the seats up to a relay that would be turned on, when the climate control **** is set to hot. Hope this helps

The srs system isn't that complicated. I would be willing to wager that the EL side airbags are identical to the ones in the civic. Even to the extent that the plugs are the same. If the airbags are at the very least, the same design, i.e. single or dual stage etc. Then it could be done, you'd just have to get the wiring diagrams for the SRS systems. That task can be difficult, but not impossible. As for the heated seats, just hook it up to a switch, no big deal.

those are my thoughts as well, but do you think or know if the wiring is already in place? i mean the fuse box has provisions and fuses there for both, and my non heated/SRS seats have wires that connect to them already? i thinking that those wires are there for at least a SRS seat
