rust removal/protection
rust removal/protection
whats the best way to remove it and prevent it from returning. Its on the bottom of my doors(these ones are past hope, just short of rusting through) but the quarter panels are just starting to show signs paint bubbling from rust. I plan to sand off the paint and hopfully find minimal rust.
any tips? should i just slap touch up paint over the sanded area when done? Is there a good primer/paint combo to keep it from comming back?

Re: rust removal/protection
Use metal ready with Por 15.
Metal ready is like an acid that will get ris of rust and then rinse with water to neutralize and then use por 15 to prevent it from coming back.
Por 15 is kinda spendy though but worth it.
When you fond the products I'm sure they will have better more precise instructions than mine
Good Luck
