solo/DC or Revo?
Question:
What are the pros and cons of the short shifter adapters like the ones by DC and Solo as supposed to the Revo complete setup? I know the adapter is about 30 dollars less which would allow me to get a new, shorter shift **** too, which would be nice.
Thoughts?

The adapters aren't as "short" as the revo short system shifter, however... I have heard that people DO use the adapters with the short shifter system and they get an incredible short shifter.
It's nice to get a smaller ****, too. It took me some getting used to switching from the stock **** to a Type R one. I don't have the any short shifter on my car but the **** is kew. Especially for appearance.
I have the DC sports ss adapter and I think it's great. Then, I started thinking what if I can combine it with the Revo ss.....now I'm here saving up for the Revo ss and I also plan on getting the Kumho bushings
If you plan on getting one and not doing what I plan on doing then it all depends on how much you want to spend. Revo is a little more than the solo or dc ss adapter so it all comes down to $

I didn't know what the hell those did either, but then I read the testimonial of #2 after Grey wrote about it in a thread and did it on my car. Afterwards, it became clear as to what purpose they serve
hope it helps

I just got the kumo sport bushing stuff a few days ago... it just basically replaces these rubber bushings that holds the shifter assmbly to the chassis, to aluminium bushings... it supposely reduce "freeplay" in the shifting...
example, if you shift to 1st, beacuse of the rubber bushing, you're somewhat shifting the entire shifter assmbly, not just the shift stick. replacing the rubber bushings, the aluminium bushing makes the entire assmbly attach better into the chassis... so when you shift, the entire shifter doesn't move along with you.
if you take out the center console and shift, you'll see what I'm talking about.
visually, I see the difference? but I dont feel that much of a difference... probably cuz I shift hard either way. heh.
but it does feel different, nothing dramatic, but it does what its advertise to do.
20 bucks though. duno if its worth it. I was just bored and I bought it. lol.
