Splash Gaurds

I did a search on this but couldn't find any info, has anyone painted their splash gaurds (I got mine from Honda and they are black)? If so how did they come out? Also does anyone know what types of paint you have to use and how many layers of each?

Appreciate any type of help,
SuperChunk

what kind of paint would hold on there my previous friends tried it and it never stayed on? He was wondering too what kind of paint would stay on them? That would look cool if the paint would stay on there it would make the car look better.

Imagine why they're not painted. It's 'cause they function to keep all the dirt that is thrown up by the tires to keep from spraying all over the place. Imagine what all that dirt does, it's like a sand blaster. They use sand blasters to tear away old paint. The only way I see your paintjob lasting is to use multiple layers of clearcoat. You need to lightly sand, prime and paint. Then clearcoat like a mother!@#$er.
