My car makes super loud noises. Realy getting annoying.

I have tested this out myself. i drove up to 40 mph and there is a noise that isn't from the engine. the back of the car.

I do have an after market exhaust system, but does it realy have to be that loud on the inside?

I think its coming from one of my wheels. tread on tires look fine and when i drive and turn the car off the noise continues.
(I no turning off the car while driving is retarded. It was for diagnostic purposes.)

So my best guess is that one of my bearings went bad.
And do bad bearings just make a crap load of noise or do they just stop all completely because when on the jack the wheels rotate normally.

Please help out. And thanks for any help. For anyone who cares.

I had the same exact problem and i was about to change my rear driver side bearing, but i got new tires first and the sound went away. Try putting your rear tires in the front and see if the noise goes away

to see if your bearings are bad, jack up the car, and move the tire to see if it'll shake or easily moves. it should be be on pretty tight and not easily movable. another problem could be bad bushings noise, but u have to be more descriptive when u say "noise"
