The air filter housing is cracked in my 2003 civic. The dealer quoted me $202 dollars to replace the air cleaner. I found the case set-air cleaner for about $30 bucks and I am just wondering how difficult would it be to change just the housing by myself? And how do I remove it? I am new at this.

its just screws and stuff holding it down. if you just take off the bolts and screws holding it down, it will come off. very easy. there is a clamp around the throttle body that you have to loosen also.

Yeah, it's very easy stuff. You never want to go to the dealer for stuff like this as you can find the parts either at a junk yard --search for foreign auto wrecking yards-- or on ebay.
