begining upgrades

Re: begining upgrades
well, as i found out when i joined and asked the same question, everyones going to tell you that its all up to you and what your looking to do with the car. i myself started with a new ram air intake. its a real easy install, gives the car a nice throaty noise while accelerating, and gives you a couple HP maybe.
Re: begining upgrades
i was looking at skunk2 which is what they have at the dealership but i've also seen spoon is a company that makes products just for the civic. right now it's about looks, then i'll prob move to performance
sweet car, glad i got rid of the eclipse!

Telling people a year could help. You could do stereo setup for looks (head unit, sub, etc.) Air Intakes look pretty sweet, some peopel like exhausts (Could always do a Chrome Tip), change the interior lights to LEDs, and alot more. Just got to look around at others pictures and see what you like. Could also do new shift ****, shift boot, new door fabric etc.
Re: begining upgrades
sorry, it's a 09. pretty cool with the navi. to match the interior lights, i'm going with the blue leds for the map lights and trunk. the overhead center light looks a little harder to change and i don't want to break anything. came with the aluminium tip for the exhaust. never realized how many upgrades are available for a civic.

Re: begining upgrades
Intake is the most basic one you can do first and its cheap, Strut bar, sway bar is also easiest, and a cheap way to upgrade your suspension, IMO i started out doing I/H/E then worked on my suspension and then did I.C.E. but thats me. Everyone will have their own opinion on what to do, its just your choice in what order you want to do it.
Re: begining upgrades
Just some friendly advice..
if you go straight for looks, without even doing intake, headers, and exhaust,
you'll most likely get called a ricer for doing looks that don't match performance..
I mean, yeah, make it look nicee,
but don't forget to give the engine a little push.
