Rep Power: 0 '99 civic Idle issues after tuneup
I'm a noob to doing anything under the hood. Recently, I changed the air filter, plugs, fuel filter, and rotor cap & button on my '99 civic EX. Afterwards, there was a slight engine miss at idle. Since I knew I'd gapped the plugs properly, I figured I'd just made a mistake by buying plugs at wal mart so I went and bought some bosch plugs. Same miss. So, I decided to get new wires. Same miss.
Also, at times after warming up, the car idles low (almost bottom of gauge, so probably 500 rpms or so?). This is when it idles the worst and sounds like it almost wants to die but doesn't quite do it. However, it also misses at the normal 700 or so RPMs and only goes away when I give it gas.
Everyone is telling me to check different sensors, but what would be the chance that a sensor would go bad just as I did the tuneup? Any suggestions?
