05LX front brake Cylinder damage or not?

Hello you all again again.

Been having problems on my car since last year, i changed the front wheel bearing, Rotors, Pads, and still keep having problems .....

My question is if the FRONT BRAKE CYLINDER could be the cause of the pads staying too close to rotors and getting hot and making the car feels like something is stopping it way too heavy and doesnt advance at all

When i go at 30mph or so and hit to brakes normally the front right starts making a noise like chu, chu, chu, chu

im thinking this could be the cylinder, i have no idea cause this is my first car ever.

Re: 05LX front brake Cylinder damage or not?

its probably ur pads. what kinda pads do u have and who installed it? did they use the proper anti squeeking greese?

and the brake pads are suppose to be SUPER close to ur rotor, so dont worry about that.

Re: 05LX front brake Cylinder damage or not?

I bought then at pepboys
pads $35, 2 rotors $46.

i install it myself and i put it exactly the same the other pads were put on, nothing special about installing then i think.

But the problem was coming already since the old rotor and pads were on, so this isnt the problem and thats why im asking if the brake cylinder has anything to do with the problem, i did a quick brake stop and the left front wheel seems to brake more than the right.

thats why im saying maybe the right wheel cylinder makes the noise like chu---chu ---chuu something like that.

ALSO beside all that i had alot of clapping sound when i installed the pads, like when i hit the brake pedal the brake piston makes a noise when it hits the pad, right now the constant clapping is gone and only does it when im in parking position and do reverse and forward.

I installed the ROTORS fine like the others and the pads i cleaned all the dirt around the piston and apply some of a black grease where it does frictions on sides and also the pads came in with some thin metal on the backs and i install it with it.

sorry about the english try to understand if possible.

Re: 05LX front brake Cylinder damage or not?

it sounds more like a warped rotor.
Calipers for this car are cheap, you can replace it if you want, but if its shuttering, you probably have a rotor problem.
As far as the braking feel being uneven, bleed the brakes.
