cleared headlights but...

hey, i just finished clearing my headlights. it was MUCH easier than i expected. I had no problems with seperating the back housing and the black goo was no problem what so ever. I was scared i was gonna have to melt the glue and all that stuff but i pretty much just used a screw driver and pulled it off. everything looks great and thats to all the people who post on here with tips cause they helped alot. only one problem... the driver side headlight is fogged like every 3 times i drive. how do i go about making this go away? do i take it apart again and seal it again? thanks... e-mail XandeternityX@yahoo.com

Did you use some silicone to re-seal the lights after you were done taking out the orange wedge?

Yeah I cleared my lights awhile back and I made sure I gave them a lot of time to dry and never saw any fogging and I have washed my car and had my lights on for over 2 weeks now. But yeah I think a part of the light didn't seal 100% but yeah get some silicone out and just run it along the edge and should save you some time if you had to take them apart again.

Good luck and the look is definately worth the time

I'm about to clear mine, but the problem is getting to that last bolt the headlight is attached to. Do i really HAVE to take off the entire bumper? The last bolt I'm referring to is the bottom one closest to the grille. What I did was remove the screws and clips enough so the bumper can just hang there. I sure wish I had a really long arm with an extra elbow or two right about now

Yeah the last bolt closet to the grill is a real pain I had to get a long extension to get in there to un losen it and those bolts were really in there. You don't have to take off the whole bumper you could leave enough room to get in there but I just took it all the way off.

Just reseal it. It's the best way to do it. Running clear silicone on the outside may work but with my experience, it doesn't work that good. Once you close the headlight really tight, all the silicone that is on the outside can just be peeled off.
