Wierd sound front wheel area...
In the area of my front left wheel there is a serious screeching sound, brakes work fine, the catch is though, is that the sound is on sometimes and sometimes it's not. Bumps don't trigger it, sometimes putting the brakes on HARD fixes it, and it doesn't come out when i put the brakes on. ALTHOUGH, when i do apply the brakes the sound changes, like two metal pieces are hitting together, but the randomness is weird.
any ideas?
thanks

check the pad thickness? if its low it will make noise. at first when pressing the brakes, after a while it will do it all the time.
Re: Wierd sound front wheel area...
Funny thing is, less than 3 weeks ago i had my car in for routine maintenance, and they give you this "reportcard" on what needs fixing, and they checked the green box for brakes all around.. love the dealership, thanks for the input.

dude ya it is the brakes and maybe the rotors need to be shaved cuz mine was doin the same thing and i kinda ignored it cuz it would go away but it was the clip on the brakes that was makin the sound
