Installing Shift *****
I might sounds like a major tool asking these questions. But I want to ask first anyway. I just got a tenzo Shift **** and brake handle and I would like to know how to install them before I go ripping away at the console. And could you let me know if I am going to need a new shift boot which I will probably ending having to get. Thanks alot for any help.

Alright next dumbass question. I got the shift **** on but the boot that is made for the stock shifter doesnt fit real well so how would I go about hooking it up or getting a new shift boot on.
Here you go:
Step 1) Search
Step 2) Search again by typing something else or spelling it differently
Step 3) Search yet again
Step 4) Buy a washer and screw the bastard on
Step 5) Search some more
Step 6) Keep searching till you find what you're looking for because pretty much EVERY question possible has been asked at least five times before and can be found though a thorough search.
Step 7) Good luck.
Step 8) Buy a washer (hint) and screw the bastard on (hint: If you can't figure out how the washer can help, or how to change your shift ****, you should probably put the keys to your car down and step away from them forever. And please, for the love of God, Don't touch a wrench or a CAI)

Get over myself? I'm simply saying that this very question has been asked many, many times and the very solution he seeks can be found quite easily. Searching does not consist of typing in "shift ****," getting no hits, and then posting here. Searching means altering what you search for to accommodate variations on a topic. Don't get me wrong, I have posted many a dumb question myself. I am not immune to this noob syndrome. I was simply telling the fine gentleman to do a better job searching, or to figure it out on his own. A mod as easy as changing your shift **** should not require, as many posts as this thread has received. My point is simple and my head is not inflated. I do not understand what I should be getting over myself for.
In closing, I answered his question, which is more than I can say for you who posted though offered NO help whatsoever. I did not simply flame, like some would do, but I also supplied him with the answer to his question: a washer. Did you miss that, IMURMILK1? I thought it was clear. You buy a washer (you'd better be able to figure out on your own what size and where to put it) and you are done. Very easy. But again, if you can't figure this out how can you expect to do any further mods? But again, I helped, what did you do but waste your time posting a simple outburst?
You took it the wrong way.

bro... the stock boot is constructed to fit only the stock ****. you're gonna have to A)figure our how to modify it to make it look like it would fit with your new **** or B)replace the boot. replacing the boot will not guarantee a flush fit with the new ****, but it would be okay, cuz it's not supposed to fit 'perfectly' anyway.
as for your brake handle, use the new one as a paperweight cuz it wont fit without you slicing up the stock handle to MAKE the new handle fit.
good luck, and yes, please try to do a more thorough search for items that are as simple as this. chances are, if you have a dumb question, other people have had the same dumb questions answered.
but remember, there are no dumb questions, only dumb people.

<< why dont u "upper class" members..do a search for an item in reference..to see if there is anything..before just flaming someone..God get over your self >>
out of the way, peck....
I missed the opportunity to do this, but then I saw your comment and decided I still could
those who follow the forums know I usually will say
"use the search luke"
and find a relevant item for them....
But i decided because there are 1 billion posts on this, i'd just post a screenshot of what you WOULD find HAD you SEARCHED for **** in the FORUMS
in all its 70k glory

no, most people still go "search" without searching for 'emselves and then just go and new members to search.
if u dont want to help him, then ignore the post. if you want to help, then tell him to search, and give him some input on what to type to search. like, telling him to try the word "****" itself only. not shift ****.
fudge. if this site becomes one of those newbie bashing site.. its sad.
anyway, the advance search works much better than the regular search setting.

Hey CapYoda,
I wasn't noob-bashing. I gave him the answer he needed for his most recent question and i was suggesting a search for a more broad range of terms than simply shift ****. I hope your comment was directed toword someone else.
I said it before, and I'll say it again, a simple washer is all you need to fix your problem. Do I need to draw a picture?

First things First what the hell is the purpose of flaming? Your just wasting time posting something that noone wants to read. Alright I got the **** on looks great right... no the boot doesnt fit well. Actually it looks mated to my tenzo **** when in 1st 3rd and 5th but then the ring doesnt seal in the other remaining gears. I tried a bunch of tricks already and non work. Try using double sided type no. The washer trick no. Compression fitting no. SO I am just going up to the local shop up here and talking with the guy, I got to get new headlights anyway so thats that I will probably get a new boot and put it on. The second problem is I got the ebrake handle off. It is true you got to cut the damn thing off but its not that hard just cut it clean at the base before the plastic starts. Then make som vetical cuts to make the job easier and pull. Sucks cause I lease if I dont decide to buy they will bitch but screw it let them bitch its an upgrade so what they got the complain about. NOw I got another problem in which the damn button to disengage the brake handle wont fit thur the tenzo handle cause there opening is to damn small. Just posting this to let anyone know that wants to try these jump grades what there up against and what they need to look for. When I get back from the shop tommorrow I will tell you the solutions I got.
why not just tell em what word to search? anyways This link to change and remove your shift **** should help you alot link
